Product Description

Tae Stokes thinks the most important thing to achieve is to become a nurse, even if it means leaving her boyfriend behind while she goes off to college and tries to forget about him. But fate has other plans. She finds her dream shattered when an accident leaves her scarred for life and hiding from the world, especially from the man whose heart she broke. After proposing to the woman who will always hold his heart and being turned down, Bryant sees no other option but to join the army. Who could have predicted that in a few years a war in Iraq would have him stationed half way around the world fighting for his and his buddies' lives? When he finally comes home after a near fatal injury and the loss of his best friend, it is not Tae but Leena who is waiting for him. But Leena is not all she pretends to be, and a soldier needs someone to hold onto, someone to love. Can Tae forgive herself for her past mistakes and move past her outward appearance to help heal a soldier's heart?

His Heart 5 by .. M. Nix ()
Jordyn Tracey's His Heart is a journey through the lives and trials of star crossed lovers. They were together as high school sweethearts but when Tea is proposed to she is not willing to give up her dreams of a better life through nursing. Bryant doesn't think she is serious enough about it to turn him down. He has always felt she is his heart and he can't... won't live without her. But when she does turn him down he makes a decision to join the Army and finds himself not only a career soldier but faced with an overseas war in Iraq.

When Bryant returns to the states he picks up with a woman who has been corresponding with him through a soldier web site. What he doesn't know is that she has schemed throughout the entire relationship, and may in fact be leading more than one soldier on at a time.

Tea's life doesn't turn out the way she had expected either. When a near fatal accident changes her life forever she will do everything she can to hide her scars from the man whose heart she broke, especially when her own family members can't look at her.

Will fate finally push them together so they both see the best in each other? And that they really should be together?

His Heart is an emotionally charged journey covering Tea and Bryant from youth through adulthood. While neither has forgotten the other each remains stubborn for their own reasons. Ms. Tracey does a wonderful job in portraying real life challenges that might tear people apart (and a few that stretch the boundaries). I was intrigued by the depth and feeling of His Heart and will definitely look for other titles by this author.

wishing for a happy ending 4 by .. T. Bynum (saint petersburg, florida)
Bryan and Tae are high-school sweethearts. Tae breaks up with Bryan to go to college, which result in Bryan going into the military, Tae gets in an accident and Bryan gets hurt in Iraq, Years passed and they are reunited with a few bump along the road. I didn't like Tae too well, she was selfish and self serving during most of the book, and Bryan kept making stupid decisions, but it was because of his love her her I was hoping for a happy ending. Good book overall. I would recommend it and am going to read more from the author.

Maybe she's just not that into you! 3 by .. EnvyNone (Atlanta, GA)
I really liked the idea of this story. Stories that include a disfigured lead are always nice becuase the theme of going from being self concious due to the disfigurement to loving ones self and allowing yourself to be loved can be powerful. I liked the realness of the characters however, I never felt a solid connection between the H/H either before they became adults or after. In fact, the H/H spent most of the book apart.

I liked the Hero and I could even see what the author was trying to do to evolve him from being a non ambitious youth to a man with direction, but the Herione remained the same to me. The Hero was flat out in love with her from the time they were kids but the Heroine acted like she could care less based on her actions. I can understand this if there was some greater good but it didn't seem to serve a purpose. She was a little hard to like because she was just so "cold".

The Heroine also had a horrible relationship with her brother which,I will say, would have potentially made for a good twist in the story but, the situation just bordered on out and out hate with no emotioinal redemtion whatsoever.

This book left me confused. I felt like even up to the end the Herione never really expressed her feelings to the Hero. She told everyone else BUT the Hero. It became very agitating because you feel that at any second she is going to tell him why she has been pushing him away and it NEVER happens. It was a okay story but it could have been sooooo much better just by adding a little more H/H communication and closure.
